NBC4 Safe and Secure Community ShredIt’s back!  That’s right, folks, it’s time to gather those stacks of papers and old mail and head out the NBC4 Safe and Secure Community Shred event which is again sponsored by Shred-It and PNC Bank.  The event will take place in Maryland at the Prince Georges Community College.

Now’s your chance to finally get rid of all that paper clutter…well, at least some of it.  Here are the details…

Date: April 4, 2009

Time: 8 am-11 am *Cars must in line by 11 am You must drive – no “walkers” allowed

Up to five boxes of:

  • Personal Papers and Mail
  • CD’s
  • Old Credit Cards

Visitors need drive on campus from the Prince Place entrance only (off of Campus Way South). Got electronics clutter? I just found 2 old laptops, a laptop keyboard, 12 laptop hard drives, and 1 CPU in my office! It’s not as bad as it sounds. I used the hard drives for a presentation I did in a former life. Well, maybe it is as bad as it sounds.

The good news is that the counties in the DC Metro area schedule special recycling events in addition to their usual drop off days. So, if you’re like me and have a few electronic items to get rid of, check out the next event in Montgomery County…details below…there’s a shredding event, too!
