Today’s post will not be for everyone. In fact, if you tend to have a sensitive disposition, you may not want to watch the video at the end of this post.  If this describes you, you can stop here and read one of our other posts about simple ways to use technology, or you can simply ignore the video.

I thought it was important to share today’s message because it addresses a well known issue that we all face: cable clutter. There are many ways to manage the ridiculous entanglement our cables and wires get themselves into (through no fault of our own, of course).

“It’s a well know phenomenon that if you put two cables on opposite sides of a room and leave the room, when you return those two cables will be entangled.” ~ Doug Aamoth

Here are a few ways you can try to control cables and stop them from getting tied up in a disarrayed mess:

But, the best way to get rid of cable clutter is by having no cables at all (i.e., use wireless devices instead). As the following video demonstrates, you can avoid the very scary experience that Techland’s Doug Aamoth recently endured. This poor man ultimately survived, but it was a harrowing experience. His story is certainly a tale of caution. Don’t get buried under cables. When you get buried under cables, you end up eating ChapStick. Don’t end up eating ChapStick. Control your cables or go wireless today.

*I hope you got a good laugh from today’s very tongue in cheek post. I did. =) Follow Doug Aamoth on Twitter for more tech news.
