What’s it like working for Buttoned Up? Their Chief Juggler, Anne Marie Furie, tells all.

Working for Buttoned Up is my dream job – with dream bosses and co-workers.  I like things organized, so I was a good fit for Buttoned Up.  Deb asked me why I love my job and could I give 5 reasons why I like to work there.  Just 5?

Here are the top 5 reasons I like working at Buttoned Up:

The People

How could you love a job and not like the people you work with?  Oh yeah, I had one of those before!  Lucky for me I really like the women I work with – they are professional, and so much fun!  They ar

e all talented, intelligent women with integrity.  They all have the entrepreneurial spirit and are open to change.  Alicia Rockmore, is the Queen Bee (and CEO), Sarah Welch is the Chief Dreamer (and COO) and Hollie Sehrt is our Resident Picasso, (she really is amazing).  Plus I love the titles, don’t you?

My Input

I love that my input is taken seriously and appreciated.  With my Public Relations, Event Planning and Professional Organizer background, it gives me a different point of view.  I look for punctuation and grammar accuracy as well as a better way to put forth an idea.  I love that if I have an idea; it is looked at seriously and considered.  You don’t always find that in every job and at Buttoned Up it’s at every level.

Flexibility Where It Counts

I like the flexibility that Alicia and Sarah give me in using my time as I see fit to get the job done, but it’s also the flexibility to get things done outside of work I especially love.  When I try to discuss time off or possible schedule conflicts with Alicia, she always laughs before she says ‘of course!’ Family is most important – and that is not just a line at Buttoned Up, it’s a lifestyle!

The Right Kind of Company

When I call a company about a problem, I automatically expect push back – don’t you?  Not at Buttoned Up.  We decided a long time ago that we would be the type of company that CAN do things for our customers.  And I am empowered to make many of these decisions myself.  I also really love working for a company that is large enough to make a difference, yet small enough to be nimble and change easily.

The Little Things

I love the sheer variety of the things I juggle – I can do the books, marketing, PR, orders, web posts, tracking of orders, bloggers and customers, vendors, creative development (a little), travel, research and whatever else needs to be done.  Jeesh I do a lot around here, and it feels great!  I love that my organizing skills are used on a daily basis.

Plus I REALLYI love the commute – (I work from home) 5 whole steps!(do you hate me now?).
