Short on time but big on stuff to do? I could say that there’s an app for that, but apparently there are people for that, too. You could get your assistant to run your clothes to the cleaners or ask the neighborhood kid to shovel your sidewalk, but what fun is that when you can use people and technology <insert loud booming voice here> TOGETHER!
Enter TaskRabbit.com.
Task Rabbit lets you post your task, set how much you’re willing to pay for to have it done, and finds someone (a.k.a. runner) to do it for you. Actually, several someones who all bid for that job. You choose a runner and he/she gets paid (via your credit card) when the job is done. You can also rate your runner for others to see.
Another cool feature is adding tasks to someone else’s runner, like say when that runner is planning a trip to Whole Foods or IKEA.

…or to one of these places…

Not sure what you need help with? The nice folks at Task Rabbit have created a list of task ideas. Pretty awesome, right? Well, there is one little, teensy drawback. Task Rabbit is currently only available in Boston and San Francisco.
Until they come to your city, watch this video to check it out in action. And, if you live in Boston or San Fran, you’ll get a surprise at the end. If you’re Gazelle user, you get a special treat, too.
Click here if you’d like to sign up to be a runner.
