A Digital Day Off

Greetings… In the last post, I talked about a discussion I had with a friend on how we handle our daily to-do lists and overall time management. While, as you know, I like to use apps to assist me, she pretty much does the paper only thing. We both aim to use prioritization and time allotment to reach our respective goals.

Over the last week, it’s been pretty up and down for me. I find that my emotional state, while usually even keel a great deal of the time, DOES affect how I handle time management and task item reduction. This led me to think about how my dad handled things…with no computer and barely a written list that I ever remember seeing. This further led me to think about if even using apps makes things easier.

Does it make me lazy in trying to think and remember things? Is pen and paper REALLY enough? Then the big question came – how could I handle my time management if I instituted a DDO…yes, a “digital day off?” I rely greatly on the wonderful resources I come across on the net everyday regarding time management, making life easier, organization, etc.

Could I actually get through the day “offline?” Have you ever tried? More on this in the future…

Have a good one!
