How to Use a Shoe Bag…in Your Pantry

Shoe Bag in the Pantry

Ok, so I know how this sounds. A little odd, yes, but a shoe bag really can be used in your pantry.

I know this because one of my clients decided to do just that.  I discovered it one day during one of our organizing sessions. We needed some Ziploc bags so I went to the pantry and found them…inside a shoe bag, along with aluminum foil (I later added the plastic cups).

Know what my client said?  That she didn’t realize she had so many boxes of Ziploc bags, and she decided to put the shoe bag on the inside of the pantry door so that she could see them all. Besides, since she uses the Ziplocs often, they were now very easily accessible in the shoe bag.  Brilliant!

Do have a similar story?  Do you use something differently than it’s original intended purpose?  …like say using books as a plant stand like I did a few months back?  Tell me about it, will you?

I have one of the other kind of shoe bags (has “u” shaped pockets on both sides)behind my laundry room door. It holds folding umbrellas, hats, scarves, gloves etc. in one place. Great for when I am in a hurry and it’s cold or raining out.
