FREE Community Shred Event in PG County

NBC4 Safe and Secure Community ShredIt’s back!  That’s right, folks, it’s time to gather those stacks of papers and old mail and head out the NBC4 Safe and Secure Community Shred event which is again sponsored by Shred-It and PNC Bank.  The event will take place in Maryland at the Prince Georges Community College.

Now’s your chance to finally get rid of all that paper clutter…well, at least some of it.  Here are the details…

Date: April 4, 2009

Time: 8 am-11 am *Cars must in line by 11 am You must drive – no “walkers” allowed

Location: Prince Georges Community College  Parking Lot B
301 Largo Road, Largo, MD 20774-2199  • 866-973-7576 • 301-336-6000

What Can You Bring?

Up to five boxes of:

  • Personal Papers and Mail
  • CD’s
  • Old Credit Cards

*Commercial or business items WILL NOT be accepted

Visitors need drive on campus from the Prince Place entrance only (off of Campus Way South).     The web site FileStoreShred.com maintains a list of free paper shredding and electronics recycling events at locations from coast to coast. Similar to what is mentioned above, these events are faster and easier than trying to dispose of these materials at home.
