That closet in ridiculously huge, larger that the rooms in my house… Oh and no I don’t use most of the clothes in my closet.

Ok, so I chose a photo of a closet that was super huge. I guess I’m living vicariously through that picture because none of my closets are that big! If you don’t use most of the clothes in your closet, are you keeping them “just in case?” Thanks for leaving a comment, Satya!

I can admit to only wearing a fraction of the things in my closet, and definitely have many items, “just in case”. I just cleaned out my closet this week, and had two huge lawn bags picked up for donation, and STILL only wear a fraction, I’m sure. Here’s a tip that Rik does in his closet: He hangs everything in his closet backwards, and after he wears them, turns the hanger the right way. After a year, anything not turned around, gets donated, since he hasn’t worn it in a year. Of course he has maybe a third of the clothes I have, but a good idea, and makes closet cleaning a lot easier!!!

I work from home, so I live mainly in casual clothes, but don’t want to wear the same thing every time I go to a networking event, so I have several dressier outfits that I only wear a few times per year. I’m pretty good at purging on a regular basis, but I’m sure there are a few things in my closet that I could get rid of and would never miss. Rik’s idea is great!
